Amazing Paper Grace - Merry Christmas

Hello again friends and visitors.

Oh how the weeks are flying by. Maybe because I'm back to twice weekly posting? More likely that I have a lot going on, trying to help/organise/facilitate my darling Daughter's impending return to the town. I've also been required to help the Hubster with his technophobia! (In short, he just gets me to do his emailing and anything else laptop related as his temperament seems to have a nasty allergic reaction when he attempts to use it lol.) Oh yes, and I have just been informed he's in need of a hair cut.....today! (Yes, I do that too.)

Well, that can all take care of itself for now, as today's card is my second Amazing Paper Grace post. (I'm still super thrilled about it all!) Thank you to all you lovelies who took the time to send me messages of congratulations and support, they are truly appreciated.

So, without any further delay, here is todays Amazing Paper Grace card.

The supplies used here are
* Amazing Paper Grace, Chantilly Paper Lace collection -
  (I used the sentiment tag only from the latter)
* Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders Graceful Corners One
* The stamped sentiment and flourishes are magazine freebies
* Metallic gold cardstock
* Stampendous Crystal embossing powder (used on the lattice inset)
* Pearls from my stash

Slightly more traditional, colour wise, than my previous card. I love white and gold together and thought the light green ink used for the stamps suited it well. I hope you think so too.

You can visit Becca's blog Amazing Paper Grace for more inspiration on how to use her stunning die sets.

Well, I had better get a move on and find my hairdressing scissors, another job to tick off my list.

Thank you for your visit today. Please pop back again at the weekend, if you have time lol. Until then, take care and have a great week.

Enjoy the Moments that make the Season Bright

Hello again friends and visitors.

I've been busy reorganising my craft space this week. My Husband says I have too many supplies. I had to correct him, of course, it's lack of space that is the problem as there is no such thing as 'too many supplies'! (He's now worried that I might be eyeing up his rather large 'man' shed lol.)
That job is done now and everything is much more accessible. There's no excuse now for not cracking on with more Christmas loveliness.

So here is my weekend card for you.

The supplies used here are

* Pearlescent linen cardstock white
* Pearlescent cardstock pink
* Christmas wreath stamp - magazine freebie
* Papermania pink and Stampendous crystal embossing powders mixed
* John Next Door Confetti Frame embossing folder
* Presscut Square nesting dies
* Spellbinders Blooming Collection (cut twice, one pink and one white. Layered and offset)
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions Pine Bough
* Papermania Tinsel Snowflake embossing powder
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia (Leaves only)
* Woodware Holly punch
* 14 Craft Bar Poinsettia dies
* Rosy Dot flower making dies type 2
* Spellbinders Classic Circles Large
* Justrite Merry and Bright stamp set
* Distress inks
* Oil pastels
* Stamens, glitter and pearls from my stash
* Pink Berries - made using air dry clay, florists wire, paint and glitter

A rather large supply list today, but there is a lot going on with this card.

Not your traditional Christmas colours, I'm experimenting a little, but I really rather like it.

I really really wanted pink Berries on this card but had no success finding any so had to resort to making my own. They were very simple to make and I made a few extra, ready to colour for another project. The added advantage to this is you can also choose the size too!

Well, that's my card for today. Thank you for your visit today. Be sure to stop by again midweek for my second Amazing Paper Grace card. (I'm still thrilled to bits!)

Winter Joy

Well hello there friends, visitors and newcomers.

I thought I would surprise you all with a quick, mid-week post.
Hopefully, this will become a regular blogging day but I have some very exciting news to share with you all in the upcoming days, so I may have to shuffle around my regular posting days a little.

So without further ado, here is my first Christmas card of 2017

The supplies used here are
* Metallic and glitter cardstock from my stash
*Stampin Up Star of Light stamp set
* M&C Boutique Snowflake die set
* Crafters Companion Winter Joy stamp set
* Stampendous embossing powders in Aqua, Periwinkle and Crystal
* Ranger Archival ink in Paradise Teal
* Brad from my stash

This whole card was inspired by the piece of blue/green metallic cardstock found in my scrap box.

I layered the snowflake 3 times and slightly teased the points of the uppermost layer forward slightly.

The embossing powders I mixed together. Firstly the aqua and crystal and embossed 2 of the stampin up images. I then added some periwinkle to the mix and embossed a further 2 images, just to add a little contrast.

I didn't actually need or want to use the brad as you normally would so I simply snipped off the prongs and attached to the centre of the snowflake.

All in all, a super quick card to create. I just love the simplicity of it, having curbed my desire to add further embellishments!

Once again I've been doing some jigging with my photos. I hope they're looking better in quality for you.

I do hope you like my first Christmas card of the year.
I have to say I'm now itching to get my Christmas tree out and bedecked with lovely festiveness, but I'll hold off a while longer.

Thank you all so much for your visit today. Pop by again soon for my next card.

Best Friends Forever

Good morning my crafty friends. I do hope you've all had a good week and that your weekend has got off to a great start.

I had a lovely visit from my darling Daughter for a few days. It's always great to have her home so I can spoil her a little. It also makes a nice change from being the only female in the house! We always have such a laugh and a giggle when she's here.

Well, as I'd spent a few days girly shopping etc, todays card needed to be one that was quick to put together. I did, however, take myself out of my comfort zone somewhat and delved into my stamp stash!

So here is todays card.

Now, I don't do a huge amount of stamping as I'm basically a 'die' and 'flower' addict. Stamping can seriously frustrate me when it doesn't turn out as perfect as can be (or as I can achieve) first time. Therefore I took the plunge and bought a stamping platform.

I opted for a Crafts Too - Press to Impress, as it was slightly cheaper than some of the other platforms and I wasn't really sure how much use I'd get out of it. I am super pleased with it! Now I use it all the time for my stamped sentiments and other little bits of stamping I do.

So, here are the supplies used on todays card
* Indigo Blue 'Floral Swirl' stamp
* Spellbinders labels thirteen
* Spellbinders labels six
* Justrite vintage oval labels stamp set
* Elizabeth crafts bunch of flowers
* M&C Boutique leaf die
* Joy Crafts decorative chalks Pearl
* Ranger archival inks in Shadow Grey, Watering Can and Jet Black

I've also had some advice from a wonderful lady on photography. I'm trying to improve the quality for you all so please feel free to leave a comment on how you think I'm doing.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Thank you for visiting today and please stop by again next week.

Best Wishes

Good afternoon friends and followers.
I hope everyone has had a great week, I know I have!
Mine involved family visits and a crafty craft shopping trip. What could be better?

Well, the weather is slowly on the turn now, although it has been pretty mild. I have taken inspiration from my woodland dog walks for todays card. Something a little different for me I think.

So here we go

The supplies used here are
* Santoro Willow paper pad
* M&C Boutique Driftwood paper pad
* Spellbinders standard circles large
* Spellbinders shapeabilities Wreath (small only)
* Memory Box Catalina wreath
* Cheery Lynn Sweet christine flower strip
* Presscut/crafts-too flower die
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions Spring foliage (flowers only)
* M&C Boutique banners stamp set
* Sentiment stamp from my stash
* Chipboard corners from The Works
* Stampendous Aged silver embossing enamel
* Lashings of distress ink to colour the wreath amd flowers
* Pearls from my stash

I haven't listed all the colours of distress ink used here as I used pretty much used all my greens and pinks with a bit of brown and red for good measure.

I'm now wondering if I can recreate the wreath for a home decor piece! That may have to wait until I've made a start on my Christmas cards. I can definitely envisage using the Catalina wreath on a winter/Christmas card.

I hope you liked my, slightly different card today.

Thank you for visiting and please pop back again soon x
