Mum #3

Good morning visitors.

Another early post from me today. The old back still isn't right but it is getting better! Sadly not good enough to be able to get any gardening done at the weekend and what a glorious weekend it was too.

I hope all you Mums were wonderfully spoilt on Sunday. Maybe you even received a handmade card or gift?

Well todays card is my final Mother's Day card.
I can share this one with you now as it was made for my own wonderful Mum.

The supplies used here are

* Spellbinders blooming collection corners
* Sizzix thinlits Ornate oval frame
* Marianne design oval frame LR0293
* Spellbinders fancy tags two
* Cheery Lynn rose dies
* Sheena Douglas Fanciful fuchsia stamens and leaves
*  Crochet cotton
* Papermania relations stamps
*  Distress inks picked raspberry/spun sugar/bundled sage/peeled paint/shabby shutters
* Pearls from my stash

I really wanted to use the Sheena Fanciful fuchsia on this card but found they were a little on the large side. I therefore resorted to adapting the Cheery Lynn roses and using just the stamens and leaves from the fanciful fuchsia set.

I used crochet cotton from my crochet stash to make the stems. I soaked the cotton in pva glue and stretched it round a frame to dry. This made it nice and stiff but still pliable and it worked out rather well.

I hope you like todays card as much as my Mum did.

Thank you for viewing my blog. Feel free to leave a comment and please stop by again soon x
