Amazing Paper Grace - Off the page Filigree Veil

Hello and welcome friends and visitors.

I hope you have all made it through the recent 'winter' conditions of late in the UK. My area seemed to escape the worst of it, with only minimal disruption, thank goodness.

It never ceases to amaze me at how totally unprepared we are for any adverse weather conditions when other countries seem to just take it all in their stride?

Well, Spring is just round the corner and I for one will welcome it wholeheartedly.

Today is Wednesday and that makes it an Amazing Paper Grace day!

I'm kind of hung up on the 'wedding' theme of late but this project just screamed Wedding at me.

The brief was 'Off the page' and I knew instantly what I wanted to create, so here it is.

The supplies used here are

* Coconut White foundation card
* Metallic cardstock
* Ribbon and pearl hearts from my stash

I simply made a little pocket using the Filigree Veil to accommodate the little tags which I picked up on a recent shopping trip. I added a simple tab at the back to enable them to stand upright and finished with some ribbon and a chunky pearl heart.

I would have loved something like this, had I had a formal wedding reception! I do hope you like it too.

As per, you can always find more stunning inspiration on Becca's blog HERE.

Enjoy the rest of your week and thank you so much for your visit today.

Take care friends,

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace 3D Vignettes - Grand Cabinet Shaker Card

Hello again friends and visitors.

Well the predicted snow arrived here yesterday and people seem to think we are set for a natural disaster judging by the panic buying of groceries!
This is nothing compared to the winters I remember from my teens.....oh so long ago.

No doubt we will be back to normal in a day or two, as usual.

So, today is my Amazing Paper Grace day!!

Today I have a cute little shaker card to share with you, and here it is.

The supplies used here are
* Silver mirror, Grey and Coconut white foundation card
* Acetate
* Stamp from my stash
* Heart confetti

Overall, I'm quite pleased with my first ever shaker card! I hope you like it too.

For further inspiration please don't hesitate to visit Becca's blog HERE. Becca never fails to astound me with her creativity!

Thank you so much for stopping by for today's card. I hope you can pop back again soon.

Life is short, Live it.

Hello there friends and visitors.

I hope you are all well and have had a wonderful week!

This is a fly-by blog post today. So many things have caught up with me this week, but I'm working my way through them as best as I can.

So without any further preamble, here is today's card.

The supplies used here are
* Cream cardstock
* Magazine freebie papers (Sara Davies Shabby Chic collection)
* Magazine freebie - Sara Davis Shabby Chic Antique Edge
* Spellbinders Elegant Ovals
* Spellbinders Classic Ovals
* Spellbinders Rose Creations
* My Favorite Things - Leafy Greenery
* Dali Art - Circle and Square Sentiments
* Pearls and stamens from my stash

I'd totally forgotten I'd purchased the magazine containing these fabulous freebies. The paper designs are lovely. Unfortunately the Shabby Chic paper pads seem to be all sold out. I knew I should have purchased them when they were released. (Lesson learned.)

I just love the shabby feel to this card (and the sentiment is really how I feel right now). I hope you do too.

Well there we have my card for the weekend.

Thank you for popping by today and don't forget, my new regular day for Amazing Paper Grace posts, is Wednesday.

Have a fabulous weekend friends and take care,

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace - Book Card

Hello and welcome friends and visitors.

My oh my, it's Wednesday already.....and time for my next Amazing Paper Grace creation!

There are a lot of photo's here for you today and a lengthy supply list, so, I won't waste time on idle chit chat.

The brief here was to create a book-style card using the 3D Vignette collection.

I think mine would be considered a keepsake, rather than a card, but I love how it turned out.

The supplies used here are (All Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders 3D Vignette collection)
* Papers, Pearls and Ribbon from my stash.

I used the outer most die from the Grand Arch set for the whole book with the addition of a piece from the Tiered Rosettes for the front and back cover.

I assembled in the usual way and simply taped down the little tabs and covered with paper on the spine.

Then it was simply a matter of decorating the pages. I left the opposing pages blank (but still covered with pretty papers), thinking that it would be a nice idea for the happy couple to add some wedding photo's?

I'm really pleased with the result and will definitely use this idea again for a special occasion.

So there you have my creation for today. I really hope you like it.

Be sure to check out Becca's blog HERE for some fabulous inspiration.

Thank you for your visit today, I hope to see you again soon.

Take care and enjoy the rest of week,

Jo xx

It's Your Birthday

Hello and welcome friends and visitors.

This passed week I celebrated a milestone birthday....my 50th!

I can honestly say that, mentally, I really don't feel that old (where oh where did those 50 years go?) but the body is certainly showing signs of wear and tear!!
I am fully resolved, however, to NOT grow old gracefully (despite the silver hair, although that appears to be all the rage right now).

Well, I didn't do anything special to mark the occasion, but it was a lovely day all the same.

So on to today's card.....

The supplies used here are
* Coconut White foundation card
* Make & Create design pad - Sweet Garden Roses
* Joanna Sheen Signature Dies - Isobel Lace
* Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions - Stitched Flags
* Make & Create Border Die
* Magazine freebie sentiment die and stamp set
* Pearls from my stash

I really wanted a rosette on this card and, at the time of making, I didn't have a rosette die and only one border die that would suffice. So this is the result and I don't think it's too bad really.

Once again I used the Sweet Garden Roses pad as this was also a card made for my darling Daughter's birthday just gone. I wanted both cards to have a very similar look but still to be different from one another.

I'm very pleased to say that she loved it, I hope you do too.

For those interested, I managed to gain my 1 Stone award at SW this week! I am struggling a little this week though (I'll put that down to birthday treats!). I've even been considering buying some home exercise equipment but I'm unsure what to get with my dodgy joints! I'll keep looking lol.

So my friends. That's my card for this week.

Please stop by again on Wednesday for my next Amazing Paper Grace card.

Thank you so much for your visit today. Have a wonderful weekend and take care.

Jo xx

Amazing Paper Grace 3D Vignettes - Tiara Rondelle

Welcome friends and visitors to my new, regular Amazing Paper Grace blog day.

Yes, from now on Wednesday's will be my regular day for posting all things APG.

I've been having so much fun playing with the new 3D Vignettes! It's such a pleasure using them.

So, without delay, here is today's Amazing Paper Grace offering.

The supplies used here are

* Cream and Metallic gold matt cardstock
* Make and Create - Pretty Red Classics design pad.
* Pearls from my stash
* Amazing Paper Grace sentiment stamp

This is my take on a 'Z' fold card. I very nearly added an abundance of flowers to it, but decided it looked much better without. Plus, I wanted this one to fit in an envelope, rather than a box.

I love the Tiara Rondelle die. I can see me getting a lot of use out of this one!

Please pop across to Becca's blog HERE where you will find some truly fabulous inspiration on how to use the new collection.

I do hope you like today's card as much as I do!

Thank you for your visit today, take care and enjoy the rest of your week!

Amazing Paper Grace - Filigree Numbers

Welcome back friends and visitors. I have a second Amazing Paper Grace treat for you today....yes another 3D Vignette card!

I really can't stress enough how easy these 3D bases are to assemble. They look so complex when they're all finished, but, the thought that Becca has put into the design makes assembly a dream!

The supplies used here are (All dies used are Amazing Paper Grace/Spellbinders)
* Make and Create - Sweet Garden Roses Design Pad
* Sheet of acetate
* Pearls from my stash

I used my favourite paper for this card. I really love how the whole thing came together, especially as it was made for my darling Daughter's 25th birthday! (How old I feel saying that!)

Please pop across to Becca's blog  HERE, or visit the other Creative Team members blogs for much more inspiration. (You'll find links in my previous post for Melissa, Teresa, Joanna and Judy).

For those regular readers who are following my Slimming World progress, I was, annoyingly, half a pound off getting my 1 stone award this week! I shouldn't complain though, it's going in the right direction. I didn't even lick the spoon when I made my daughter's Birthday cake which, surprisingly, looked edible! I'm definitely not an accomplished baker.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing today's card.

Thank you for visiting here today and please pop back again soon my friends.

Have an awesome weekend and take care,

Jo xx

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace - 3D Vignettes

Welcome friends, today we are introducing a new die collection by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders called 3D Vignettes.

3D Vignettes is a series of dies that can be included in a Grand Base die to create 3D upright cards that folds down flat to go into an envelope - a collapsible tunnel card!  You can see it in action in the 1.5 minute video ------> HERE.  Where these Vignettes are unique, is the ability to die cut or not die cut each and every layer for an ethereal see through dimensional creation.  The collection was designed to cut out whole or to be cut out inlaid for inclusion in a Grand Base.  The collection centers around three themes - baby, love and birthday, and today we show you traditional uses but a little dreaming, only the sky is the limit.

The dies and elements can be used as standalones or in the Grand Base there is a good degree of mix and matchability across the entire collection.  I've made three cards to show you how easy it is to isolate different sets or combine them all into one, they are:

  • The Simple Card - There are two layering dies which can be used as inserts or used on their own in regular cards.
  • The Embellished Card - There is a set of shaped dies, these add drama or can be used on their own in regular cards.
  • The Decked Out Card - There is a 3D Grand Card, standing, yet collapsible, made for use with purchased inserts or to use with dies from your own stash

 My Simple Card

                                                           My Embellished Card

                                                          My Decked Out Card

                                      Extra Embellishments I used on my cards:

 Oh my oh my. How I adore this die collection! The 3D bases are so much easier to assemble than you could imagine. The results give a truly unique looking card. All the elements can be used together or individually to create many different looks. This is my first time making 'Baby' cards and I so enjoyed doing them. I could gush endlessly about these sets!! Just hop over to the other Creative Team members blogs to be wowed by some truly wonderful creations.
